About John
John Gosselin trained in the United States and in Europe. He earned a Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston in 1994 after earlier studies at Middlebury College, where he received a B.A. in 1991 in International Politics and Economics with a concentration in Contemporary France. He also spent time at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in 1990 studying European economics and finance.
He began his legal career in the mid-1990s and helped establish Gosselin & Kyriakidis, P.C., serving as managing partner in 1994. That early experience combined private practice and firm leadership. By 1999 he was involved in founding work outside the traditional law office; he is listed as a founding member of Simplifile, a company that altered how real estate records are handled electronically. Around the same time he took on an academic role, serving as an adjunct professor at Suffolk University beginning in 1999.
Over the following decade he continued to blend legal practice with business ventures. In 2013 he is noted as a co-founding member of Alumni Ventures Group. In 2018 he took on two leadership roles: managing lawyer at Hope Elder Law and chairman of the board and co-founder of Darwin Trust Company. Those positions reflect an interest in elder law, finance and structures that support clients as they age.
Gosselin is admitted to practice in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He holds memberships in bar associations for both states, and he is a current member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. His association with the Massachusetts Bar Association dates to 1994, and he has been a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association since 2005.
His work spans elder law, estate planning, probate matters and related areas that intersect with finance and real estate. He has experience counseling families on long-term care planning, Medicaid eligibility, guardianship and the administration of estates. His involvement in companies such as Simplifile and Alumni Ventures Group reflects an interest in how technology and capital can affect legal practice and client services.
He practices out of Gosselin Law. He maintains a practice that centers on elder law, estate planning and related probate matters.
