About John C. Manoog
John C. Manoog III earned his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 1994, graduating cum laude. He completed his undergraduate studies at Babson College in 1983. Those academic years gave him a grounding in law and business that he would carry into practice.
Admitted to practice in Massachusetts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, Manoog built a career handling matters in both state and federal courts. He practices under the name The Law Offices of John C. Manoog III. His courtroom work covers trials, hearings and plea negotiations, and he appears for clients across a range of criminal matters.
Alongside criminal defense, Manoog is credentialed as a Certified Mental Health Advocate through Mental Health Advocacy Services. That certification informs his work in cases where mental health issues intersect with legal concerns. He represents clients in criminal cases and in proceedings where competency, guardianship or other mental health questions arise.
Manoog maintains memberships in several professional organizations. He is a current member of the Boston Bar Association, the Barnstable Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Nationally, he belongs to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Those affiliations keep him engaged with developments in trial practice and criminal defense strategy.
Colleagues and court personnel describe his approach as steady and pragmatic. He prepares cases for court and also seeks resolutions when that route serves a client’s interests. He has represented individuals in arraignments, motions practice, jury trials and sentencing hearings. He also handles procedural matters in the federal district court where he is admitted to practice.
Outside the courtroom he balances casework with continuing legal education and bar activities. His background includes both litigation and client counseling, drawing on his undergraduate business training alongside legal experience. He operates a private practice that serves clients throughout Massachusetts.
He currently practices at The Law Offices of John C. Manoog III, handling criminal defense and mental health advocacy matters.
