About Randi

Randi Potash earned her Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law in 2020, completing a program centered on criminal defense. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Her academic path combined liberal arts and graduate study before she moved into legal training and practice in Massachusetts.

After law school, Potash began practicing in the state courts of Massachusetts. She developed a practice that centers on criminal defense work and established her office on Cape Cod. Early years in practice involved routine court appearances and handling the procedural work that keeps cases moving: arraignments, bail hearings and pretrial motions. Those experiences provided regular exposure to courtroom procedures and local prosecution practices.

Her caseload ranges across misdemeanor and felony matters. She handles pretrial negotiations and represents clients at evidentiary hearings. When cases proceed to trial she manages courtroom presentation and cross-examination. The work requires attention to statutory detail, case law, and the varying practices of judges around the region, all elements she encounters on a daily basis.

Potash is active in professional circles that concentrate on criminal defense and local bar work. She is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Massachusetts Bar Association. Locally, she participates in the Lynn Bar Association and the North Shore Women’s Lawyers Association. She also belongs to Essex County Bar Advocates, Inc. Those memberships connect her to colleagues across the state and to continuing legal education opportunities.

Her office is listed as Cape Cod Criminal Defense Lawyer. From that base she represents clients in district and superior courts across Cape Cod and nearby communities. Her practice emphasizes client counseling at early stages of a case and persistent attention to courtroom deadlines. She handles plea discussions, motions practice and trial work as needed.

Outside of court, Potash’s work involves preparing discovery requests, reviewing police reports and coordinating with investigators when cases demand factual development. She balances in-court advocacy with case preparation and client communication. She currently practices criminal defense in Massachusetts, representing individuals in criminal matters on Cape Cod and surrounding areas.
