Joel R. Bryant is a attorney specializing in personal injury and elder law, practicing in San Diego, California. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 1990. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance, graduating summa cum laude from Arizona State University in 1987. Mr. Bryant obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990. He graduated in the top tier of his class and was active in the moot court program. With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Bryant has become a leading figure in San Diego's legal community. He was President of the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego in 2011 and has served on its board of directors for 11 years. He is also on the board of directors for Consumer Attorneys of California and has received its Presidential Award of Merit. Additionally, he served as President of the San Diego Barrister's Club in 1994 and has been a member of the San Diego Bar Association.
He serves on its Judicial Election Evaluation Committee. Mr. Bryant's practice focuses on personal injury, nursing home abuse, financial elder abuse, and will and trust fraud cases. He was among the first attorneys in San Diego to specialize in prosecuting civil and probate actions for financial elder abuse. He served on the Board of Directors for Senior Community Centers for six years, an organization providing food, housing, and social services to senior citizens. He has also been a consultant and committee chairperson for the San Diego Financial Abuse Specialist Team (FAST) for over ten years, a group dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of elder financial abuse reporting and prosecution. Mr. Bryant is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and Federal Courts, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Central, Eastern. Northern Districts of California, as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
