About Jodi
Jodi Jaffe began a legal path that mixes public defense and firm leadership. She earned a B.A. in political science from Brandeis University in 1987 and completed her J.D. at the University of Florida in 1990. Those credentials set the stage for a career spent largely in courtrooms and client advocacy.
Her first role after law school was as a staff lawyer in the Office of the Public Defender in Miami. That early work placed her at the front line of criminal defense, often handling assigned cases and courtroom appearances for clients who could not afford private counsel. The experience shaped her command of trial procedure and direct client work.
A move to New York followed. In 1994 she joined the Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Defense Division as a staff lawyer. There she handled a high volume of matters in the city’s criminal courts. The work involved arraignments, pretrial motions and jury trials. It also required adapting to a different court system and local practice norms.
Jaffe transitioned into private practice at the turn of the century. In 2001 she became a shareholder at McConnaughhay, Duffy, Coonrod, Pope & Weaver, P.A., taking on responsibilities that included case strategy, motion practice and mentoring junior lawyers. That role broadened her exposure to complex litigation and firm management.
In 2012 she co-founded Jaffe Glenn Law Group, P.A., where she remains a co-owner. The firm listing appears in her professional profile and is the current base for her practice. Over the years she has maintained active bar memberships and gained admission to multiple jurisdictions, including New Jersey, New York and Florida. She is also admitted to practice in a number of federal courts: the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Southern District of Florida and the District of New Jersey.
Her career shows steady movement from public defense into leadership at midsize firms and then into an ownership role. The record points to sustained courtroom work, handling arraignments, motions and trials in both state and federal settings. Colleagues describe her as experienced in handling the pressures of litigation and the administrative demands of running a practice.
She remains an active member of The Florida Bar. Her current practice centers on litigation in state and federal courts.
