About Jill L.

Jill L. Walsh earned her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law after completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Scranton. Her educational path mixed liberal arts and legal training, preparing her for work at the intersection of employment, compensation and litigation. She took a practical route into law school, arriving with workplace experience that would shape her legal interests.

Her career began outside the courtroom. In 2011 she served as Vice President and Human Resources Director at SAIC, where she managed compensation programs and employee relations. The next year she moved into private practice, joining Thomas, Thomas & Hafer, LLP as a lawyer in 2012. In 2016 she appears at Hardwick Benfer, LLC as a lawyer, bringing together her human resources background and litigation work. The shift from corporate HR to employment law gives her a perspective that spans both management and legal responses to workplace disputes.

Walsh holds several professional certifications that parallel her legal work. She is SHRM-SCP certified by the Society for Human Resource Management, holds the SPHR credential, and is a Certified Compensation Professional from WorldatWork. Those credentials inform her understanding of pay practices, benefits administration and compliance, and she draws on them when advising clients or preparing cases.

She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Her professional memberships include the American Bar Association, the National Employment Law Association, the Society for Human Resources Management and the Bucks County Bar Association. Those affiliations keep her engaged with developments in employment law and HR policy.

In practice, Walsh handles employment and labor matters that touch on compensation, employee policies and dispute resolution. She represents clients on a range of workplace issues and works on both counseling and litigation tasks. Her background in human resources gives her practical insight into employer decision-making and compensation structures.

She currently practices at Hardwick Benfer, LLC, where her work focuses on employment law and related litigation.
