About Jessica

Jessica Lowe trained as a political scientist before switching to law. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from Wake Forest University and completed her J.D. at American University Washington College of Law in 2005. Her legal education combined classroom study with practical training at a time when the Washington, D.C., legal market was changing rapidly.

After law school she moved into private practice. Over the years she has built a practice based out of JSDC Law Offices. She maintains a presence in the Mechanicsburg office and meets clients there as well. Those two locations anchor her day-to-day work and serve as bases for meetings, negotiations and courtroom appearances when necessary.

Colleagues describe her as steady and practical in the handling of matters. She approaches cases with attention to procedure and clear communication. Her day often involves drafting filings, negotiating settlements and advising clients on next steps. She balances court deadlines with client meetings and document preparation, and she has adapted her workflow as local courts and opposing counsel have changed their practices.

Her background in political science informs her legal reasoning. It gives her familiarity with statutory frameworks and the policy context that can underlie disputes. That perspective can make a difference when interpreting regulations or explaining legal options to clients who are new to the system.

In firm meetings she takes a measured approach. She listens to clients, maps out options, and explains likely outcomes in plain language. She aims to make the process comprehensible to people who are dealing with stressful legal situations. That practical communication style influences how she prepares a case and how she sets expectations with clients.

Outside the office she has remained engaged with developments in the profession. She attends continuing legal education programs and follows changes in local court rules. That ongoing attention helps ensure filings meet current procedural standards and that strategy reflects the most recent developments.

She currently practices from JSDC Law Offices and sees clients at the Mechanicsburg office. Her current practice centers on client representation through the JSDC Law Offices' Mechanicsburg location.
