About Jessica
Jessica Cotter is a family law attorney based in Peoria, Arizona. She has been practicing law in Arizona since 2003, specializing in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, and adoption. Her office is located at 14050 North 83rd Avenue, Suite 290, Peoria, AZ 85381. She earned her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, in 2002.
Prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History from Arizona State University in 1998. In addition to her private practice, she has been actively involved in various professional organizations. She has been a member of the West Maricopa County Bar Association since 2003, serving on its board from 2004 to 2012, including terms as President (2006-2007), Vice President (2005-2006), Secretary (2004-2005), and Treasurer (2004). She is also a member of the Arizona Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the Arizona Women Lawyers Association.
Her professional experience includes serving as an intern at the Family Law Facilitators Office and as an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Joseph Charles (2003-2004) and Brown Family Law Group (2004-2007). She has been recognized for her pro bono work, receiving the Top 50 Pro Bono Attorneys of the Year award from the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education in 2007 and the Volunteer Attorney of the Month award from the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Arizona in 2006. She is admitted to practice in Arizona and the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
