About Jessica A.
Jessica A. Pellerin built her foundation in California classrooms. She earned a B.A. from Saint Mary’s College of California and completed her J.D. at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2014. Those years set a clear path into courtroom and client work.
Early in law school she sought hands-on experience. In 2012 she interned with the California Department of Child Support Services, learning the mechanics of enforcement and administrative practice. The next year she worked inside a private firm as an intern at the Law Offices of Ben Aguilar and served as a Family Law Project intern at The Bar Association of San Francisco. Those placements exposed her to family court procedures, client interviews, and the paperwork that underpins custody and support disputes.
Soon after finishing law school, Pellerin joined Mello & Pickering, LLP. She rose to partner in 2015. That was a rapid move into a leadership role, one that put her into the mix on both litigation and client counseling. Colleagues say she balances courtroom preparation with attention to client detail; she handles filings, motions, and negotiation sessions with the same steady approach.
Pellerin is admitted to practice in California. She maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Bar Association, the Santa Clara County Bar Association, and The State Bar of California. Those memberships reflect an ongoing engagement with continuing education and the professional bar, and they keep her current on procedural and substantive developments in state practice.
Her background includes public-agency and nonprofit experience as well as private practice. The child support and family law internships gave her early exposure to administrative proceedings and client-facing advocacy. That experience informed the kinds of matters she would later accept and manage at her firm.
Her courtroom work is complemented by routine interaction with judges’ chambers, court clerks, and opposing counsel. She prepares declarations, draft orders, and settlement agreements when cases move toward resolution. She also handles contested hearings when agreements cannot be reached.
Pellerin lives and practices in California. Her current practice focuses on family law, including child support matters.
