About Jessenia
Jessenia Rosales earned an LL.M. in Intellectual Property from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2019. She holds a J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School (2015), where she studied criminal and family law, and a B.A. in Criminology from the University of South Florida (2012). Her academic path crosses criminal justice and intellectual property, a combination that shapes how she approaches client problems.
Her legal career began in support roles. She worked as a paralegal for Douglas C. Zahm, P.A. in 2010, then served as a certified legal intern at the State Lawyer's Office for the 13th Judicial Circuit in 2014. In 2018 she took on the role of principal at the Law Office of Jessenia Rosales, LLC, managing casework and the day-to-day operations of a small practice.
Rosales is a member of several professional organizations. She has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2017 and belongs to the Federal Bar Association (member since 2015) and the American Bar Association (member since 2018). She is admitted to practice in Florida and in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Her volunteer and leadership roles include serving as Chairperson of the Clearwater Bar Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee from 2020 to 2022, chairing the Florida Justice Center from 2020 to 2021, and holding a board position with the Pinellas Latin Bar Association from 2020 to 2021.
Alongside courtroom work, Rosales holds a Mental Health First Aid Certification from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. She draws on that training when working with clients who face heightened stress or crisis. Attorneys and staff who have worked with her describe an attention to client communication and an emphasis on practical next steps.
Her background combines criminal law and family law practice areas from her J.D. with specialized study of intellectual property at the graduate level. That mix means she handles traditional criminal-defense and family-law matters while also advising on issues that touch creators, small businesses and intellectual property disputes. Her practice has included courtroom appearances, client counseling and case strategy work.
Since becoming principal in 2018, she has run a small firm in Clearwater that handles a range of matters. She currently practices at the Law Office of Jessenia Rosales, LLC, where she handles criminal defense, family law and intellectual property matters.
