About Jesse A.

Jesse A. Atkins pursued a steady course through legal education before entering private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in history from Hiram College in 2002. He then completed a Juris Doctor at The University of Toledo College of Law in 2010 and the same year took a Master of Public Administration from the University of Toledo. He followed that with an LL.M. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2011.

His academic path placed him at the intersection of law and public policy. The additional graduate study in public administration suggests comfort with the administrative side of government and the procedural demands of courts and agencies. The LL.M. added a layer of postgraduate legal training that came just before he entered the firm where he would later become a partner.

Atkins became a partner in 2012 at Atkins and Atkins Lawyers at Law, LLC. That appointment came shortly after completing his LL.M. The firm affiliation has anchored his professional life since then. Records show he operates from the firm’s Columbus office.

He has taken on roles in local bar governance. Atkins joined the Columbus Bar Association in 2013 and has maintained his membership since. He also served in leadership at the Pickaway County Bar Association, first as vice president from 2014 to 2015 and then as president from 2015 to 2017. Those positions placed him in the company of other lawyers working on local rules, member education and community-facing bar activities.

A Certificate of Appreciation in Mediation from the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas–Juvenile Division appears on his record. That recognition points to involvement in mediation work tied to juvenile matters and suggests experience in alternative dispute resolution in court-connected settings.

Colleagues and clients see him in the ordinary rhythms of a mid-sized law practice in central Ohio. He handles matters from the Columbus office of Atkins and Atkins Lawyers at Law, LLC and participates in county and city bar activities when they intersect with his practice. He continues to maintain bar association memberships and to engage in mediation-related activities. His current practice is centered in the Columbus office of Atkins and Atkins Lawyers at Law, LLC and includes work involving mediation and local court matters.
