About Jeremy T.

Jeremy T. Johnston earned his Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University in 2010. He completed his legal education at a time when courts and clients were beginning to feel the effects of rapid technological and regulatory change. The degree set the stage for a practice that crosses state lines and requires careful attention to procedural detail.

Soon after law school he moved into practice in the Midwest. He is admitted to the bars of Missouri and Kansas, and his work reflects the demands of practicing across neighboring jurisdictions. He has built experience navigating both states’ court systems and statutory frameworks, and he brings that practical knowledge to client matters that involve multi-jurisdictional questions.

Over the years his day-to-day work has required a steady command of procedural rules and the ability to manage matters through different levels of state court. He handles filings, prepares briefs, and works on case strategy tailored to the relevant court. The nature of practicing in two states means he must pay close attention to differences in local rules, motion practice, and scheduling practices. That attention to detail shapes how he prepares cases and advises clients.

Colleagues describe him as someone who approaches problems methodically. He breaks complex issues into manageable parts. He writes plainly and argues clearly. Those are useful habits in litigation and in any situation that involves regulatory or statutory interpretation. His background at a national university and his subsequent work in Missouri and Kansas give him a combination of formal legal training and regional practice experience.

He practices at Withers, Brant, Igoe & Mullennix, P.C., where he works on matters that require coordination across state lines. He advises clients on procedural issues and represents them in proceedings that arise in Missouri and Kansas courts. His current practice concentrates on handling matters that span both jurisdictions and on meeting the procedural challenges that such cases present.
