About Jeremy

Jeremy Naylor earned his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in 1999 after completing a bachelor’s degree at Boston University in 1994. He came through a traditional academic route at institutions known for strong legal and liberal arts programs. His years in law school preceded admission to practice in both New York and Massachusetts, where he maintains his professional standing.

He is a partner at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. At the firm he represents corporate clients, advises business leaders, and supervises teams on complex matters. His role requires coordination across practice groups and frequent interaction with in-house counsel, external advisers, and regulators when situations demand it. He has been part of deal teams, contract negotiations, and firm management activities typical of a partner-level attorney.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in approach. He tends to break complicated problems into manageable parts and focuses on practical solutions. That approach plays out in the types of tasks he handles: drafting and negotiating agreements, overseeing due diligence, and managing transaction closings. He also spends time mentoring junior lawyers and organizing internal processes to keep matters on track.

Naylor’s education and dual-state admissions help him handle matters that span both New York and Massachusetts. He is comfortable working across state lines and coordinating filings and compliance where needed. His experience at a firm with national reach exposes him to a variety of business sectors and legal questions, and he draws on that exposure when advising clients.

Outside of case work, he participates in the professional life of the firm and contributes to project planning and client development. He has remained active in his profession since graduating law school, maintaining the licenses necessary to practice in his two jurisdictions. He keeps an eye on developments that affect corporate clients and adapts strategies when legal or market conditions change.

He currently practices law in New York and Massachusetts at Cooley Godward Kronish LLP, concentrating on client counseling, transactional work, and the coordination of matters that cross state lines.
