About Jeremy

Jeremy Geller built a practical foundation in both technology and communication before turning to the law. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1999, studying communications and computer science and taking minors in biology, chemistry and advertising. He continued his studies at The John Marshall Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2002.

After law school Geller began practicing in Illinois. Over time he moved into trial work and joined Trapp & Geller Personal Injury Trial Lawyers, where he is now a partner. His work has centered on personal injury litigation. He handles cases that proceed to trial as well as matters resolved through negotiation and settlement.

Geller’s courtroom experience informs how he evaluates cases. He is comfortable managing complex discovery and the demands of jury trials. He has worked on disputes involving serious physical injury and wrongful death, and he often coordinates with medical experts to explain technical issues to juries and opposing counsel.

Outside the office he has kept active in professional groups. He has been a member of the American Bar Association since 2002 and joined the Chicago Bar Association in 2003. He became a member of the American Association for Justice and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association in 2004. For a period in the mid-2000s he served as president of the Illinois Council on Problem Gambling, from 2005 to 2008, and he held membership in Trial Lawyers for Public Justice during that same span.

Colleagues describe Geller as plainspoken in court and methodical in preparation. He prefers to let facts and testimony shape the case strategy rather than rely on rhetoric. He combines an analytical undergraduate background with years of litigation practice to test evidence, explore liability theories and present claims to judges and juries.

He remains based in Illinois and continues to practice at Trapp & Geller Personal Injury Trial Lawyers, handling personal injury cases across the state. He currently focuses his practice on personal injury litigation in Illinois.
