Jeremy Farkas is a member of MSK Attorneys in Burlington, Vermont, specializing in business and real estate law. He joined the firm in March 2004 and became a member in January 2007. His practice focuses on commercial real estate, representing developers, property owners, and municipalities in various aspects such as acquisition, financing, permitting, development, management, leasing, and sale of properties. Additionally, he handles general commercial transactional law, including entity formation, secured financings, and mergers and acquisitions.
He also assists individuals and businesses in obtaining state and municipal land use permits and represents property owners in establishing and managing condominiums and common interest communities. A notable engagement includes representing a developer in a $34 million hotel project in downtown Burlington, utilizing multiple financing sources, including New Market Tax Credits and State and Federal Historic Tax Credits. He earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 1997 and his B.A.
from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994. He is admitted to the Vermont Bar Association. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers since 2008, including being named "Lawyer of the Year" in Burlington for Land Use and Zoning Law in 2026.
