About Jeremiah
Jeremiah Ambabo began his professional journey in New Mexico after completing a bachelor’s degree in criminology at the University of New Mexico in 2001. That year he joined the New Mexico Corrections Department, where he served as a probation and parole supervisor and training coordinator. The role placed him on the front lines of community supervision and adult corrections early in his career.
He moved from corrections into legal education and practical training more than a decade later. Ambabo attended California Western School of Law and earned his J.D. in 2016. While in law school he taught as an honors instructor in 2014 and took on a certified legal intern position the same year at the San Diego County District Lawyer's Office. Those classroom and courtroom experiences ran alongside his academic work.
In 2015 Ambabo began working with Associates & Bruce L Scheiner, first as a legal intern and then as a graduate law clerk. Those positions introduced him to the daily workflow of a law practice and to trial preparation. After completing law school he joined Bruce L. Scheiner as a lawyer in 2016. The transition marked the start of his post-J.D. legal practice.
Ambabo holds memberships in The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association and The Lee County Bar Association. His professional affiliations place him in the legal community in Florida, the jurisdiction where he is licensed to practice. He has combined earlier experience in corrections and public-sector internships with private practice responsibilities.
Colleagues and supervisors from his earlier roles describe Ambabo as steady and practical in approach. His time supervising probation and parole exposed him to case management, client supervision and training duties. His internships and clerkship work involved research, drafting and assistance in trial preparation. Those strands of experience shaped the set of skills he brought into practice after law school.
He is based at Bruce L. Scheiner and remains active in the bar associations listed on his record. His work draws on a background that spans corrections, legal instruction and courtroom support, and he practices in Florida where he continues to represent clients and handle litigation-related tasks.
