About Jennifer

Jennifer Herrmann built a path to law that begins in Oklahoma and led to one of Chicago’s premier law schools. She earned a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma in 2013 and returned to graduate school at The University of Chicago Law School, where she received her J.D. in 2020. Those academic stops shaped a methodical lawyer who values careful analysis and clear writing.

After law school, Herrmann brought that training to practice in Massachusetts. She is admitted in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and holds current membership there. Her qualifications include courtroom procedure and state practice rules, and she applies them in the work she does every day as an associate.

As an associate at Zalkind Duncan & Bernstein LLP, Herrmann works alongside seasoned litigators and counselors. Associates at the firm typically manage legal research, draft court filings and briefs, prepare discovery materials and handle client communications. Herrmann’s role follows that pattern. She contributes to case preparation, supports trial teams and helps shepherd matters through state courts and administrative processes.

Colleagues describe her as precise in document drafting and steady under deadline pressure. She approaches each file with attention to detail, aiming to produce clear arguments and reliable factual records. That steadiness is useful in Massachusetts practice, where procedural nuance can shape outcomes as much as substantive law.

Herrmann’s education informs how she handles legal questions. Courses at The University of Chicago Law School emphasized rigorous analysis and argumentative clarity. Her undergraduate years at the University of Oklahoma provided a foundation in research and writing. Together, those experiences guide the practical work she performs now: distilling complex records, framing legal issues and communicating options to clients.

Outside the office, she maintains her professional ties through membership in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. That affiliation keeps her connected to continuing legal education and to developments in state law that affect her clients.

She is currently an associate at Zalkind Duncan & Bernstein LLP, where she practices Massachusetts law and serves clients on matters handled by the firm.
