About Jenna
Jenna Bickford earned her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2009 after completing a B.S. in Business Administration at Susquehanna University in 2006. She moved from a business undergraduate program into law school and finished her legal studies the same year she began her professional practice. That educational path informs the way she approaches client matters today.
Soon after law school, Bickford became a partner at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton in 2009. She has remained at the firm since then, building a steadier presence in the regional legal community. Her role at the firm involves advising clients, preparing filings, and appearing in court when cases require it.
Bickford is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is also authorized to appear in the Erie County Court of Common Pleas. Those admissions shape where she takes cases and how she coordinates litigation strategy for clients who require state or federal representation in northwestern Pennsylvania.
Outside of billable hours she serves in several community roles. She sits on the Governance Committee for Erie Habitat for Humanity. She holds board memberships at ExpERIEnce Children’s Museum and The Ophelia Project. She is also active with Erie Ambassadors, a local civic organization. These positions keep her engaged with nonprofit governance and local initiatives.
On the professional side, Bickford maintains memberships in the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division. She participates in events and programs offered by those groups. The connections help her stay current on developments in court procedure and professional practice.
Colleagues describe her as someone who prefers direct conversation and clear paperwork over legal rhetoric. She approaches hearings and negotiations with preparation and a practical eye. That method reflects both her undergraduate business training and her hands-on experience at a regional law firm.
She continues to practice at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton, representing clients in state and federal courts in the Erie area and surrounding counties. She maintains an active practice in state and federal courts in northwestern Pennsylvania.
