About Jeffrey

Jeffrey Wittenberg is an attorney whose work has centered on corporate and business matters. He holds a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, earned in 2002, and an undergraduate degree from Ohio State University, completed in 1994. Those academic milestones frame a practice that spans transactional work and matters involving corporate governance.

After completing his J.D., Wittenberg built a practice that crosses state lines. He is licensed to practice in California and before the Ninth Circuit, and he also holds licenses in Illinois and Michigan. That multi-jurisdictional credentialing allows him to accept matters that touch state and federal law across several parts of the country.

He has taken on roles inside professional organizations for many years. Since 2009 he has served as Vice Chair of the Corporations Committee in the State Bar of California’s Business Law Section. He joined the board of the Santa Monica Bar Association in 2012 and remains on that board. Those positions have kept him engaged in the practical issues that affect corporate counsel and business executives.

Wittenberg’s practice covers corporate governance, transactional arrangements, business disputes, and regulatory questions that apply to companies and their leaders. He handles transactional documentation, advises on governance structures and board processes, and works through contractual and compliance issues that arise in commercial relationships. His time on bar committees has involved reviewing model forms and committee work that intersects with business law practice.

The mix of state and federal admissions has shaped how he approaches problems. Cases and deals that involve multiple jurisdictions often require coordination across different procedural and substantive rules. He routinely considers those variations when advising clients or drafting agreements.

Outside of court filings and corporate paperwork, Wittenberg has spent years involved in bar leadership and committee work, participating in the conversation about how business law is practiced and taught in his region. He has combined that organizational work with direct client representation in a private practice setting.

He currently concentrates his practice on corporate and business law matters.
