About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Morris built a steady professional arc out of a mix of law, business and sports management. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Florida in 1998, followed by an M.S. in Sports Management in 2000. He stayed at the same university to complete his J.D. in 2003. Those three degrees, earned at a single institution over five years, gave him a layered academic foundation before he stepped into public service.
He began his career in public prosecution. In 2005 he served as a prosecutor in South Florida. That period put him in courtrooms and on case dockets. It also offered a practical education that differs from law school. He handled the day-to-day realities of criminal litigation and case management in a busy jurisdiction.
After time in the public sector he moved into private practice. In 2013 he co-founded McLaughlin Morris, P.A., where he serves as an attorney. Building a firm required shifting from the narrower role of a prosecutor to the broader demands of running and staffing a practice. The firm operates in Florida and he practices in the state’s courts.
Morris’s academic background in business administration and sports management informs how he approaches client matters. He applies a businesslike perspective to legal problems. That combination of business, sports management and legal training gives him a pragmatic lens when evaluating disputes and transactions.
His resume shows a mix of public and private roles over two decades. The public work gave him courtroom experience.
