About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Li built a technical foundation before he went to law school. He studied Computer Systems at the City University of New York’s New York City College of Technology, completing that program in 2013. He later earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 2018.
His entry into legal work began in support roles. In 2010 he worked as a legal assistant and law clerk at the Law Office of Stuart R. Shaw. That early exposure to casework and client files set a practical tone for his career. In 2016 he served as a law clerk at The Blake Horwitz Law Office, Ltd., and the following year he was a law clerk at Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz. After finishing law school he became an associate attorney at Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz in 2018.
Li is admitted to practice in Illinois and later gained membership in the State Bar of New York. His Illinois membership dates to 2018; he joined the New York bar in 2021. Those dual admissions allow him to handle matters that touch both jurisdictions. Colleagues describe him as methodical in file preparation and attentive to procedural detail.
Across his roles he has handled a range of tasks common to litigation teams: legal research, drafting pleadings, preparing discovery materials and assisting in depositions. His background in computer systems has informed how he approaches document review and evidence organization, especially in matters that involve technical records. He has moved from support duties into attorney responsibilities while keeping a practical approach to case logistics.
At Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz he works alongside more senior trial lawyers and takes on assignments that require careful factual development and clear written work. His work has involved coordinating with clients, assembling case files and ensuring filings meet court requirements. The steady progression from legal assistant to associate reflects a sustained engagement with courtroom procedure and case management.
Outside the office he retains ties to professional groups in both states. He remains an active member of the Illinois and New York bars and continues to develop the skills needed for cross-jurisdictional practice. He is currently an associate at Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz, handling litigation and client representation matters in New York and Illinois.
