About Jeffrey F.

Jeffrey F. Brooke graduated from the University of Virginia in 1985 and earned his J.D. from William & Mary Marshall-Wythe School of Law in 1988. He entered the bar exam years that followed and began building a legal practice rooted in Virginia courts and communities. His legal education provided the foundation for a multi-decade career that blends firm work and public service.

He joined Poole Mahoney PC early in his career and became a shareholder in 1990. Over the years he has maintained an active role at the firm. Colleagues describe him as a steady presence in the office and in the courtroom. His long tenure at one firm has given him continuity in client relationships and local practice patterns.

Outside the office, Brooke has taken on leadership roles in a number of nonprofit and professional organizations. He serves as president of the Virginia Israel Foundation and sits on the board of the Simon Family JCC. He has been on the Norfolk Ronald McDonald House board since 1993. In the professional sphere he chairs a circuit committee for the Virginia State Bar Fee Dispute Resolution Program. He has also been a member of the Lawyer General s Government and Regulatory Reform Task Force since 2009.

Those roles inform the scope of his practice. His work on the fee dispute program gives him firsthand experience with attorney-client billing disputes and dispute resolution procedures. His task force membership exposes him to questions of government practice and regulatory change. He combines that practical knowledge with long experience handling matters at the firm level.

Brooke balances practice, governance and community service. He has worked alongside civic leaders and nonprofit boards while continuing his legal practice. The combination of firm work and board service has shaped how he approaches client matters and community issues.

He continues to practice law at Poole Mahoney PC. His current practice emphasizes government and regulatory matters along with fee dispute resolution and related professional issues.
