About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Einhorn earned his bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College in 2002 and completed his J.D. at Brooklyn Law School in 2006. Those academic years set the stage for a career centered on criminal defense work. He moved quickly from law school into courtroom practice.
By 2007 he was a partner at The Law Offices of Jeffrey Lichtman. That position anchors his professional identity. He has practiced in state and federal courts and built his work around trial preparation, motion practice and client advocacy.
Einhorn is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut. He is also admitted to appear in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and the Eastern District of New York. Those federal admissions allow him to handle matters that cross state and federal lines.
His professional associations include membership in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the New York County Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He maintains those affiliations while continuing to handle active cases and court appearances.
Colleagues describe his practice as concentrated on criminal defense. He represents individuals in a range of criminal matters and regularly pursues pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings and jury trials when cases proceed to that stage. He has experience navigating substantive criminal law and procedural issues that commonly arise in both state and federal prosecutions.
Einhorn’s workday balances client meetings, court appearances and legal research. He prepares clients for testimony, drafts motions and negotiates with prosecutors when plea discussions are appropriate. He also coordinates with investigators and experts where cases demand factual development beyond courtroom filings.
He continues to be active in bar organizations and professional circles that focus on criminal law. That involvement keeps him current on changes in case law and procedure. It also provides contact with other lawyers who practice in the same districts and courts.
