About Jeff

Jeff Reynard graduated from The Ohio State University Michael E. Moritz College of Law in 1996 after completing a bachelor’s degree in criminology and political science at Ohio State in 1991. He left law school with the academic grounding common to many litigators who go on to practice across courts and tribunals. The dates mark a steady progression from undergraduate study into the legal profession.

He began his independent practice in 1999, opening a solo practice that allowed him to manage every aspect of client work. Running a solo practice gave him day-to-day experience in client intake, file management, and courtroom procedure. Those early years shaped how he approached case preparation and client communication.

In 2010 he became a partner at Reynard & Rice, llp. Moving from a one-person shop into a partnership altered the scale of his work. He shifted from handling every administrative task himself to supervising teams and coordinating cases across multiple lawyers. That change required adapting to different rhythms of practice and to collaborative case management.

Over the years he has practiced in Ohio courts. His work has included advising clients, conducting discovery, drafting pleadings and appearing at hearings. He has experience in both trial settings and in pretrial problem-solving. Colleagues describe him as practical in approach, inclined to analyze legal questions with an eye toward what will actually move a case forward.

Outside the courtroom he has handled negotiations and client counseling. His background in criminology and political science informs how he thinks about procedural issues and the broader context of disputes. He has navigated matters that required attention to detail as well as an ability to explain complex points to clients who may not have legal training.

Today he practices law in Ohio and serves as a partner at Reynard & Rice, llp. He continues to split his time between casework, supervising other lawyers at the firm and advising clients on next steps. He currently practices law in Ohio as a partner at Reynard & Rice, llp, handling both counseling and litigation for clients.
