About Jeff
Jeff S. Korek is a senior trial partner at Gersowitz Libo & Korek, P.C., a personal injury law firm based in New York City. He joined the firm in 1992, bringing with him a experience in personal injury, medical malpractice, and products liability cases. Over the years, Jeff has been recognized for his meticulous preparation and dedication to his clients, securing some of the state's highest verdicts and settlements. In 2016, he was named Best Lawyers' "Lawyer of the Year" for Personal Injury Litigation in New York City, and in 2020, he received the same honor for Medical Malpractice Law – Plaintiffs in New York City. Before his tenure at Gersowitz Libo & Korek, Jeff served as a senior trial attorney at Weitz & Luxenberg and Leahey & Johnson.
He began his legal career as a clerk for the law offices of F — Lee Bailey and Aaron J. Broder. His experience has made him a sought-after speaker, frequently participating in panel discussions on medical malpractice at the New York State Judicial Institute, which provides education and training for judges and justices of the New York State Unified Court System. Jeff earned his Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Binghamton. He was admitted to the New York and New Jersey state bars in 1986.
In 2013, he was admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States.
