About Jeff
Jeff Gould took a roundabout path into law. He started with numbers and earned a B.B.A. in finance from the University of Alaska Fairbanks in 1989, then turned to legal study and received his J.D. from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1992.
His early professional years mixed private practice and in-house work. In 1997 he joined Progressive Insurance Company as a litigation specialist for the Alaska region, a role that put him on the front lines of insurance disputes and courtroom strategy. Two years later he opened his own practice under the name Law Office of Jeffrey A. Gould, stepping into the responsibilities of running a small firm and handling a range of civil matters.
Gould’s career has several side chapters. He volunteered with the Southern Arizona Aids Foundation in 2005 and later worked on mentoring and empowerment programs with the Old Pueblo Community Foundation in 2007. He operated as a sole proprietor under the name Just Jeff beginning in 2009. In 2015 he established Jeff GOULD Law, operating as a one-person firm and using the informal tagline "The 'Lawyer In Your Corner.'" These roles reflect a longstanding pattern of solo practice mixed with community involvement.
He is licensed to practice in both Alaska and Arizona. He has held memberships in bar and practice sections for decades, including the Alaska State Bar Torts and Injury Law section since 1993 and the Alaska Lawyers Assistance Committee since 2013. Those affiliations place him in the network of attorneys handling personal injury and tort matters, and they suggest sustained engagement with professional and ethical issues in the bar.
On the substantive side, Gould’s resume points to civil litigation and insurance-related disputes. His time as a litigation specialist for Progressive, followed by years running a solo practice, means he has handled case investigation, defense strategy, and client counseling in contested matters. He also maintains a presence in tort and injury law circles through his bar section membership.
Gould runs Jeff GOULD Law, PC as a sole practitioner. He divides his time between client representation, case work, and handling the administrative side of a small firm. He currently practices at Jeff GOULD Law, PC, where his work centers on civil litigation and tort-related matters.
