About Jed
Jed DeWick built the foundations of his legal career in classrooms at Brown University and Boston College Law School. He graduated from Brown in 1999 and earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School in 2002. Those years shaped a practical, courtroom-minded approach to the law.
Early in his career he secured admission to the bar in Massachusetts and later gained admission to the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Those credentials allowed him to work on matters that cross state and federal lines. He practiced in several settings before turning to private firm work. Over time he gravitated toward civil litigation and the kinds of contested matters that occupy state and federal dockets.
In the years that followed, DeWick left a mark on private practice by co-founding Arrowood LLP. He is a partner at the firm and one of its founders. At Arrowood he helped build a firm structure intended to handle complex disputes and deliver direct advocacy for clients. His role there combines case handling, firm management, and mentoring younger lawyers in litigation practice.
DeWick maintains active ties to the professional community. He holds membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. He also serves on the Council of the Massachusetts Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Section. Those roles keep him connected to developments in trial procedure, discovery practice, and local court rules. They also provide a network for peers, judges, and attorneys to discuss evolving practice issues.
Colleagues describe his work as methodical and centered on case preparation. He approaches matters by identifying the governing legal questions and then building the factual record to address them. He handles pretrial motion practice, discovery disputes, and settlement negotiations. He knows how to move a case through procedural stages, and he coordinates with experts when technical issues arise.
Outside the courtroom he is involved in managing the firm’s operations and in training associates on courtroom skills and motion work. He has presented panels and participated in section meetings through the Massachusetts Bar Association. He continues to contribute to the local legal community by taking an active role in bar discussions and mentoring newer practitioners.
As of 2026, he is a partner and co-founder at Arrowood LLP, practicing civil litigation in Massachusetts state and federal courts and serving clients in contested matters across those forums.
