About Jeana A.
Jeana A. Longo combined an early interest in human behavior with legal training. She earned a B.A. in forensic psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in 2002. Three years later she completed her J.D. at Widener University Delaware School of Law. Those two degrees set the tone for a career that moves between public service and private practice.
Her first legal role after law school was as a Lawyer Advisor at the Small Business Administration in 2006. The post exposed her to regulatory issues and the practical questions small enterprises bring to government programs. A year later she took a post as an Assistant Public Defender in Lycoming County. There she handled criminal matters at the trial level and learned courtroom procedure under pressure. Those early years provided steady courtroom time and an apprenticeship in case preparation.
Longo moved into environmental work in 2014 when she joined the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection as Assistant Counsel. That position broadened her experience in administrative law and state regulation. She advised on enforcement matters, permits and compliance issues. The role required translating technical environmental concerns into legal strategy.
In 2019 Longo founded Longo Law, P.C. The firm marked a shift to private practice and to managing both casework and the business side of a small law office. As founding lawyer she assumed responsibility for client intake, litigation strategy and day-to-day operations. Her memberships in the Pennsylvania State Bar and the Lycoming County Bar Association reflect continued professional engagement at both the state and local levels.
Colleagues describe her work as steady and pragmatic. Her education in forensic psychology informs how she approaches witness preparation and client interviews. The combination of defense work, agency counsel experience and time advising small businesses has given her a varied legal toolkit. She has worked across criminal defense, administrative hearings and regulatory matters in Pennsylvania.
Longo practices in Pennsylvania and retains ties to Lycoming County through bar membership and previous public defender work. She balances litigation with counseling clients through administrative processes, and she handles matters that require both courtroom experience and an understanding of agency rules. She now leads Longo Law, P.C., where she manages the firm’s caseload and provides legal services in Pennsylvania. Her current practice concentrates on civil and administrative matters in the state.
