About Jay T
Jay T Neal earned a B.A. in Management from Ouachita Baptist University in 2007 and a J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 2010. He moved from a small liberal arts campus to a state law school and began building a practice in Arkansas and federal courts. The transition was practical and deliberate.
He began his legal career in 2010 as an associate at Taylor King and Associates. Early work there included research, pleadings and appearances that supported trial teams. Those first years gave him courtroom time and a grounding in civil litigation procedures.
By 2011 Neal had joined several professional groups. He is a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and the Clark County Bar Association, memberships he has held since 2011. He also holds membership in the Arkansas State Bar. On the jurisdictional side, he is admitted in Arkansas and in the Federal Circuit, which expands the range of matters he can accept.
Neal’s practice has been steady rather than flashy. He handles contested matters and prepares cases for trial. He works on pleadings, discovery disputes and motions practice, and he appears in state and federal proceedings. Colleagues describe him as focused on clear legal argument and practical courtroom work.
Outside of litigation rooms he has continued to attend bar events and local association meetings. Those forums have kept him current on procedural developments and changes in state practice. He also maintains contacts in the Clark County legal community through the local bar association.
Today Neal continues to practice in Arkansas courts and in matters that can reach the Federal Circuit. His work remains centered on civil litigation and courtroom representation, and he accepts matters arising in those jurisdictions.
