About Jay Allen

Jay Allen Michelsen grew up in Texas and built his path to the bench and bar through steady academic work. He earned his law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in 2013. The classroom shaped his early view of practice. The state courts and statutes shaped the rest.

After law school he entered the Texas legal community. He was admitted to practice in Texas and has maintained an active presence there since. Early in his career he handled a mix of matters that exposed him to courtroom procedure, client counseling and transactional detail. That range of experience informed how he organized his own practice and how he approaches the daily work of representing clients.

Michelsen established MICHELSEN LAW to provide a single point of contact for individuals and businesses seeking legal help in the state. He opened offices operating under that name in Texas and built a practice that manages files from initial intake through resolution. He has been involved in bar and local legal associations since 2013, participating in meetings and continuing legal education programs. Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic in the way he handles filings and client communications.

In daily practice he prepares pleadings, counsels clients on procedural choices, and appears in hearings when necessary. He places a premium on clear explanations and realistic timelines. His office handles cases that require responsive case management and attentive client service. He continues to maintain MICHELSEN LAW as his principal practice vehicle and serves clients across Texas. He currently practices at MICHELSEN LAW, serving clients throughout Texas.
