About Jason
Jason Schneider trained in central Illinois before moving into a courtroom practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and then studied law at The John Marshall Law School, where he received his J.D. Those two degrees shaped a practical approach to litigation and client work.
After law school, Schneider joined the Law Offices of John J. Malm & Associates, P.C. There he developed day-to-day experience handling matters that proceed through discovery, motion practice and hearings. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, which allows him to handle both state and federal filings for his clients.
Schneider's professional life extends beyond his work at the firm. He maintains memberships in the American Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage County Bar Association and the Kane County Bar Association. He holds membership in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association as well, keeping him connected to peers who litigate in similar venues.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing cases for court. He spends time on pleadings and paperwork, preparing witnesses and tracking procedural deadlines. He has worked on matters that require coordination across multiple court calendars and the management of evidentiary materials. That work has required familiarity with both state court rules and the federal procedures of the Northern District of Illinois.
At the Law Offices of John J. Malm & Associates, P.C., Schneider practices alongside other attorneys who handle a range of civil matters. His role involves drafting motions, responding to filings and appearing for hearings when required. He often balances casework with the administrative responsibilities that come with practice at a multi-attorney firm.
Outside the courthouse walls, Schneider engages in the bar organizations that help shape local practice standards. He attends association events and educational programs intended for lawyers who litigate in Illinois courts. Those activities keep him current on procedural developments and local practice norms.
He currently practices at the Law Offices of John J. Malm & Associates, P.C., handling matters in Illinois state and federal courts.
