About Jason S.
Jason S. Kanterman built his legal foundation at Rutgers School of Law–Camden, earning his J.D. in 2016 after completing a B.A. in Political Science and Global Studies at Rider University in 2013. He arrived in law ready to argue, research and teach. That combination of classroom and courtroom experience shaped how he approaches cases and clients.
After law school he entered practice and later joined Stone & Magnanini LLP as an associate. At the firm he worked on litigation matters that required appearances in a range of courts. He has handled filings and hearings in state and federal forums, and he brought classroom experience into the office after a stint teaching at his alma mater. In 2018 he served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers Law School, returning to campus to guide students through practical aspects of legal work.
Kanterman’s credentials include admissions across multiple jurisdictions. He is licensed in New Jersey and New York, and he holds admissions to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Those admissions have allowed him to handle matters that traverse local and federal practice lines and to represent clients where federal rules and procedures govern.
Outside formal employment he has remained active in community-oriented legal work. He volunteers for ReNew Camden, the Federal Prisoner Reentry Program run through the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. That role places him in the community of returning citizens and offers regular contact with issues that arise at the intersection of criminal justice and reentry supports. It also reflects an interest in the mechanics of court-supervised programs and the post‑conviction challenges that individuals face.
Kanterman’s profile is a mix of courtroom exposure, teaching and pro bono involvement. He continues to practice through his role at Stone & Magnanini LLP while maintaining admissions that permit appearances in both New Jersey and New York federal and state courts. He currently practices in New Jersey and New York, appearing in state and federal courts.
