About Jason
Jason McCartha earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Alabama–Tuscaloosa in 1989. He continued his legal studies at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University, receiving his J.D. in 1996. Those years set the foundation for a practice rooted in Alabama courts.
He went into private practice shortly after law school. In 1997 he founded The McCartha Law Office, LLC. That same year he is listed as a lawyer with McCartha & Snowden, LLC. In 2003 he took on an in-house role as general counsel for Institutional Pharmacy Solutions. The combination of running a firm and serving as corporate counsel has shaped the way he approaches client work.
His career has moved between courtroom work and corporate legal duties. In private practice he handled client representation at the trial level and worked on transactional matters for local businesses. As general counsel he dealt with the legal needs of an operating company, providing advice on contracts and internal compliance. Those different settings have given him practical experience in both individual client representation and in-house problem solving.
Outside the office he has maintained active bar membership and community involvement. He is a current member of the Alabama State Bar and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. Since 2004 he has served as an officer and board member of Integrity Global Missions, Inc., a role that has kept him engaged with nonprofit governance over many years.
Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers straightforward work over rhetoric. He tends to break complex problems into manageable steps and to present clients with clear options. That approach has guided his client counseling, whether in matters that require litigation or in situations that benefit from negotiated resolution.
His office is listed as McCartha Law Office, LLC, where he continues to accept matters arising in Alabama courts. He balances private practice responsibilities with occasional in-house assignments and nonprofit board service. He currently practices at McCartha Law Office, LLC, handling matters in state and federal courts in Alabama.
