About Jascha Daniel
Jascha Daniel Preuss trained on two continents. He holds an LL.M. in International Law from New York University and an LL.B. from a Swiss law faculty. Early academic work included a research and teaching fellowship at Humboldt-University of Berlin in 1992, a period that helped shape his interest in comparative and international legal questions.
He began his practical legal career in Switzerland. A clerkship at the District Court of Zurich followed in 1997, and he spent the next year as a clerk at the Claims Resolution Tribunal for Dormant Accounts in Switzerland. He joined Wenger Plattner as an associate in 2000 and later took associate positions at Thelen LLP in 2003 and Mayer Brown LLP in 2006.
In 2009 he returned to Wuersch & Gering LLP as a lawyer. A year later he became a partner at Reiss+Preuss LLP. He rejoined Wuersch & Gering LLP as a partner in 2019. Over two decades he has moved between Swiss and U.S. practices and has handled matters that require understanding of both legal systems.
Preuss is admitted to practice in Switzerland and in New York. He is active in legal organizations on both sides of the Atlantic. He serves as president of the Swiss American Lawyers Association of Greater New York, and he holds membership in the New York City Bar Association.
