About Jared
Jared Chaykin earned his undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of Miami in 2007 and completed his J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law in 2013. He began his professional life in education, teaching English at Polo Park Middle School in 2007. That early experience with young people and written expression gave way to legal training and a series of internships that shaped his approach to practice.
While in law school Chaykin worked as a legal intern for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit of Florida in 2011. He later spent time with the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and the University of Miami Law Innocence Clinic in 2013. Those placements exposed him to courtroom procedure, client advocacy, and the mechanics of post-conviction review. They also placed him in community-based settings where practical problem solving mattered as much as legal theory.
After earning his J.D., Chaykin founded Chaykin Law Group, P.A. in 2013. He has remained at the firm since then and has taken on leadership roles within local bar activities. He joined the Palm Beach County Bar Association in 2013 and has served on its Circuit Civil Practice Committee and on committees dealing with small firm practice and professionalism. He co-chaired the Family Law CLE Committee from 2018 to 2020 and co-led the United Family Practice Committee Meeting in 2020–2021. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and participates in the University of Miami School of Law Young Alumni Committee. Outside the bar, he has been active with the Jewish Federation NextGen since 2014.
Chaykin holds certification as a Family Law Mediator from the Florida Supreme Court. That credential reflects work handling family law disputes through negotiation and settlement as well as contested proceedings. His background in circuit civil practice and family law committees suggests he engages with both civil procedural matters and family court issues. He brings courtroom experience from internships and practice experience from managing a small firm.
He maintains offices in Wellington and PGA, where he meets clients and handles cases. He continues to practice law in Florida, concentrating his work on family law and related civil matters.
