About Christopher Russell

Christopher Russell Bruce built a career that moves from accounting into family law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting at the University of Florida in 2005 and then turned to law, receiving his J.D. from Florida State University in 2008. Early training in a large accounting firm gave him grounding in financial detail, and law school refined his approach to litigation and client counseling.

His first legal role came while still completing his studies. In 2005 he worked as an intern at Ernst & Young, where he handled accounting tasks that later proved useful in financial aspects of family law. After law school he joined Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge LLP in 2007. That position exposed him to complex commercial cases and a firm environment that contrasts with later, smaller-firm practice.

Bruce moved into partnerships quickly. In 2009 he became a partner at Nugent Zborowski & Bruce. The role put him in charge of heavier caseloads and required more courtroom time. In 2015 he took on a leadership role in local professional circles, becoming a Master in the Susan Greenberg Family Law Inn of Court, a position he continues to hold. The Inn of Court membership reflects an ongoing involvement in peer education and case discussion among family law practitioners.

In 2016 his name became more closely associated with direct family law practice when he began working at Bruce Law Office, P.A. There he has focused on divorce and related family law matters. His training in accounting and his years in both large and boutique firms inform how he approaches property division, support calculations, and financial disclosures in family law cases.

The Florida Bar has recognized his expertise through board certification. He is a Board Certified Marital & Family Law Specialist. That credential indicates that he has met the Florida Bar’s standards for specialization in marital and family law.

Bruce’s path shows a mix of financial and legal training, private firm experience, and then a narrower practice in family law. He remains active in professional education and local Inns of Court. He currently handles divorce and family law matters at Bruce Law Office, P.A.
