About Jane Frankel
Jane Frankel Sims trained at some of the country’s most selective schools. She earned an A.B. from Princeton University in 1995, followed by an M.A. from Stanford University in 1996. She completed her legal education at Harvard Law School, receiving her J.D. in 2000. Those years shaped a broad intellectual outlook and a practice comfortable with complex, cross-disciplinary questions.
After law school she built a practice that spans multiple jurisdictions. She is admitted to practice in New York, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Arizona. Over time she moved from case work to firm leadership, combining courtroom experience and client counseling with the administrative work that keeps a law office functioning day to day.
Sims is the managing lawyer of Frankel Sims Law. In that role she oversees case intake, client relationships and the firm’s legal strategy. She also handles litigation and transactional matters herself, often serving as the lead attorney on multi-jurisdictional files. Colleagues describe her work style as methodical and exacting; clients rely on her for consistent management of complicated matters.
Her educational background continues to inform her practice. The liberal arts training at Princeton taught analytical precision. The graduate work at Stanford added a research-minded approach. Harvard Law provided the doctrinal and practical legal training she uses in court and at the negotiating table. She draws on that combination when constructing arguments, preparing witnesses and structuring transactions.
Running a small firm requires attention to detail beyond legal briefs. As managing lawyer she handles staffing, budgeting and the procedural systems that keep deadlines and filings on track. She balances that administrative load with client-facing responsibilities. The result is a practice that operates on both strategic planning and careful execution.
Sims works on matters that require coordination across state and federal lines. Her admissions in New York, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Arizona allow her to advise clients on disputes and regulatory questions that touch multiple jurisdictions. She currently practices as managing lawyer at Frankel Sims Law, handling matters in New York, Maryland, the District of Columbia and Arizona.
