About Jamison
Jamison Walters earned his law degree from the University of Houston in 2015 after completing undergraduate studies in political science at the University of Central Florida in 2011. His time in law school coincided with growing interest in tax and guardianship matters. He carried that interest into the early years of his practice and into courtroom admissions that would shape his career.
After law school, Walters pursued practice in Texas where he built courtroom experience and procedural knowledge. He gained admission to practice before the U.S. Tax Court, a credential that allowed him to handle federal tax controversies beyond state forums. Those early matters exposed him to a mix of audits, disputes over tax liabilities, and hearings that required detailed familiarity with both IRS procedure and federal tax law.
Walters also developed work in areas involving vulnerable adults. He completed the Texas Guardianship certification through the State Bar of Texas, an educational credential aimed at practitioners who handle guardianship cases. That certification supported representation in probate-adjacent matters and guardianship proceedings, where practitioners must balance legal, medical, and family considerations.
He maintains an active membership in the State Bar of Texas. That membership has kept him connected to continuing education offerings and the procedural updates that affect trial practice and fiduciary litigation in Texas. In practice, Walters handles a mix of contested matters and advisory work. He appears in state courts and administrative settings and appears before the U.S. Tax Court when federal tax disputes require litigation.
