About James
James Ferraro built his professional foundation at the University of Miami. He completed a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1978, followed by a Master of Science in Accounting in 1979. He returned to the same law school and earned his J.D. in 1983. Those consecutive degrees in business, accounting and law shaped a career that crosses legal and financial lines.
After law school he entered private practice and later became a shareholder at The Ferraro Law Office. Over the years he obtained admission to numerous state and federal jurisdictions. His admissions include Ohio, Florida, Massachusetts, New York and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and several federal appellate courts, including the 1st, 3rd and 4th Circuits. In the federal trial courts he holds admissions in both Northern and Southern Districts of Florida, the Southern District of New York and the Northern District of Georgia. He is also admitted to the U.S. Tax Court.
Ferraro is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Florida, a credential that he maintains alongside his legal practice. He belongs to multiple professional organizations that reflect both his legal and accounting credentials.
