About Jacqueline
Jacqueline Ravenscroft built her legal foundation at the University of California system. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from UC Santa Cruz in 2009 and completed her Juris Doctor at the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 2011. Those years mark the start of a practice that moved quickly from court filings to client counseling.
Her first post-law school position was as an associate at Bracamontes & Vlasak, P.C., where she joined the litigation team in 2011. The work there introduced her to courtroom procedures and the rhythm of civil practice. In 2013 she took on roles at two firms. She worked as an associate at The Armstrong Law Office and that same year became a senior associate at Tobener Law Center. The overlapping dates reflect a period of rapid professional change and expanding responsibilities.
In 2017, she became a partner at Tobener Ravenscroft LLP. The firm maintains offices across the Bay Area, including locations in San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose. Her rise to partnership coincided with the firm’s efforts to concentrate resources on landlord-tenant disputes and housing matters, an area that has drawn much attention in the region.
Ravenscroft’s membership in the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association dates back to 2012. That affiliation has kept her connected to trial practice developments and to peers who handle contested civil litigation. Over the years she has handled matters that require negotiating settlements, preparing pleadings and representing clients in hearings. Her practice has involved both individual tenant claims and broader housing-related matters that touch local regulations and policy questions.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in courtroom preparation and attentive in client meetings. She writes briefs, argues motions and manages case calendars. The combination of trial work and client advocacy has shaped how she approaches each file: start by identifying the legal issues, then map a practical path forward. Her background across smaller and mid-size firms gave her exposure to different case loads and management styles.
Today she practices from Tobener Ravenscroft LLP’s Bay Area offices. Her current work concentrates on tenant representation and housing law, where she handles disputes between renters and landlords and related litigation and administrative matters.
