About Jacob
Jacob Regar is an attorney who built a practice around consumer protection law and courtroom work. He earned his J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law in 2004. That education set the foundation for a career that moved steadily from firm associate to founder of his own practice.
After law school Regar entered private practice and by 2009 he was working as an associate at Barry Regar A Professional Law Corporation. He remained with that firm and in 2012 changed his role to of counsel. The same year he opened his own firm, Jacob Regar Law. The transition from associate to firm owner reflected a shift toward handling his own cases and managing the day-to-day demands of running a small law office.
Regar is admitted to practice in California and in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. That dual admission allows him to take cases in state courts and to file and litigate matters in federal court when the case calls for it. He has handled civil litigation matters across these venues, often confronting procedural and evidentiary issues that arise in consumer litigation.
His professional affiliations align with the kinds of matters he handles. He is a member of the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, Consumer Lawyers of California, and the National Association of Consumer Advocates. Those memberships connect him with other attorneys who handle consumer protection, debt defense, unfair business practices, and related claims, and they provide forums for continuing legal education and case strategy discussions.
Colleagues describe Regar as a lawyer who prefers direct engagement with clients and an attention to courtroom detail. He moved from a supporting role as an associate to of counsel and then to firm owner, following a path that combined litigation experience with practice management. That background informs how he approaches matters now: practical case preparation, client communication, and readiness to try cases when necessary.
Jacob Regar Law handles consumer protection and related civil litigation on behalf of individuals, pursuing statutory claims and defenses in state and federal court. He concentrates his current practice on representing consumers in disputes over debt collection, unfair business practices, and other consumer rights matters.
