About Jacob M.

Jacob M. Resnick trained first as a student of liberal arts and law. He earned a B.A. from Rollins College and then took his law degree from Tulane University School of Law. Those years set the shape of a career that has stayed largely in litigation and commercial disputes.

His practical legal work began as a law clerk in 2008 at Nicaud & Sunseri Lawyers at Law. He moved into private practice in 2010, joining Robertson, Anschutz & Schneid, P.L. That early period offered steady exposure to courtroom procedure and case preparation. In 2012 he joined McCalla Raymer as a litigation lawyer, where he handled contested matters and responded to tighter court schedules.

Resnick shifted into commercial litigation in 2014 at The Law Office of Andrew B. Peretz P.A. The title reflected a narrower remit: business disputes and contract-related claims became a larger part of his caseload. In 2016 he took on a lawyer role at Foreman Friedman, P.A., continuing to work on contested commercial matters and related litigation tasks. Over successive positions he gained experience in motion practice, discovery management and negotiating resolutions outside of trial when cases allowed.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, Florida and New York. He holds current membership in the Florida State Bar. That multi-jurisdictional admission means he can take on matters that cross state lines and advise clients who operate in more than one forum.

Today Resnick practices at Mavrick Law Office. His work there builds on the litigation and commercial dispute experience he developed at prior firms. He handles pretrial work and litigation tasks, and he appears in court when cases proceed. The record of his moves from clerkship to firms focused on litigation maps a steady professional trajectory rather than abrupt shifts.

Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers pragmatic solutions and clear case management. He has handled a range of contested matters over more than a decade, moving from clerk duties into front-line litigation roles. He maintains his Florida State Bar membership and continues to accept matters in the jurisdictions where he is admitted.

He currently practices at Mavrick Law Office, where his work centers on litigation and commercial disputes.
