About Jacob
Jacob Harker completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles, earning a B.A. in history in 2000. He stayed in California for law school and received his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco in 2006. Those academic years provided the legal foundation that shaped the next stage of his career.
After law school, Harker took entries into the San Francisco legal community. In 2009 he became principal of the Law Offices of Jacob Harker, the firm that bears his name. Around the same time he began active participation in local bar activities. He has held membership in the San Francisco Bar Association since 2009 and has served as a volunteer lawyer for the Bar Association of San Francisco from 2009 to the present.
Harker is admitted to practice in California and his work is conducted under that jurisdiction. He handles matters that arise in state courts and before local administrative bodies. His days divide between courtroom appearances, drafting pleadings and advising clients on procedural and substantive issues relevant to their cases. He balances litigation tasks with counseling work, deciding strategy and managing day-to-day case developments.
Colleagues describe Harker as methodical in his preparation. He applies his training from both UCLA and UC Law SF to the practical problems his clients bring him. Membership in local bar organizations has kept him engaged with courtroom practice and volunteer efforts in the city. Those connections also inform how he approaches deadlines, filings and client communications in a busy municipal court environment.
Since 2009 Harker has led his firm and continued a practice centered in California. He has maintained a public presence through bar association involvement and volunteer legal work in San Francisco. At the Law Offices of Jacob Harker he represents clients in matters that fall within California state law and provides counsel on related legal questions. His current practice focuses on representation of clients in California state matters and counsel on procedural and substantive legal issues in that jurisdiction.
