About Jack

Jack Terran trained in Chicago. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Illinois–Chicago in 2013 and completed his J.D. at The John Marshall Law School in 2019. Those years of study put him in the courtroom and the library. They also provided the foundation for the day-to-day work that defines his practice.

After law school he entered private practice and joined Levin & Perconti. At the firm he has taken on the kinds of tasks that keep cases moving: client interviews, factual investigations, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing materials for hearings. He regularly coordinates with colleagues on discovery and evidentiary issues. His work has required learning to move quickly from research into courtroom-ready filings.

Terran is admitted to practice in Illinois. He holds memberships in the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association. Those affiliations give him access to continuing legal education seminars and local bar activities. He has used those resources to stay current on procedural developments and to sharpen courtroom technique.

Colleagues describe him as practical and straightforward in his approach to casework. He focuses on clear legal writing and careful case preparation. In court he prefers a measured style: make the point, support it with evidence, then move on. Outside the courtroom he spends time preparing clients for hearings and keeping them informed about next steps.

His practice at Levin & Perconti involves active participation in litigation matters handled by the firm. He works on case development from intake through dispositive motions and trial preparation. The office environment keeps him involved in a range of procedural and substantive tasks, and he often handles client communications, investigative follow-up and legal research for ongoing matters. He also attends local bar programs to stay engaged with professional trends.

Terran’s path from UIC undergraduate to a J.D. from John Marshall and into practice at Levin & Perconti reflects a steady progression through the legal system in Illinois. He continues to practice law in Illinois, where his work centers on litigation and client representation in state courts.
