About Jack Christopher

Jack Christopher Dolance built a foundation in language and argument before he ever set foot in a courtroom. He earned a B.A. in English, concentrating on rhetoric, writing and linguistics, from the University of Tennessee 6Knoxville. He went on to receive his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law.

After law school he entered practice in West Virginia and maintains his license to practice in the state. Early in his career he handled a range of matters that required careful drafting, close reading of statutes and patience in negotiation. Those early experiences shaped how he approaches client work today.

Dolance has balanced courtroom and office responsibilities. He has prepared pleadings and motions, taken depositions and appeared before judges at various stages of litigation. He also spends considerable time meeting with clients, explaining options and setting realistic expectations. His background in rhetoric and writing informs how he frames legal arguments and communicates complex issues in plain language.

He is active in professional circles and holds membership in state and local legal groups. That involvement keeps him current on procedural changes and offers opportunities to exchange practical insights with other lawyers. He has also worked with peers on matters that require coordinated strategy, including multi-party litigation and joint client counseling.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and steady under pressure. He prefers careful analysis to dramatic gestures. That approach shows in how he structures cases and in his preference for clear, persuasive filings over grandstanding in court. Clients typically find the direct explanations helpful when deciding how to move forward.

Today he practices from the Dolance Law Office. He handles a variety of matters for individuals and businesses across West Virginia, combining litigation experience with attention to written advocacy. He continues to focus his practice at the Dolance Law Office in West Virginia.
