About J. Peyton Randolph

J. Peyton Randolph II built his academic foundation in a technical field before turning to law. He earned a B.S. in Construction Engineering Technology from Mississippi State University. After completing that program, he enrolled at Mississippi College School of Law and received his Juris Doctor. The combination of an engineering-oriented undergraduate degree and legal training gives his resume a distinct shape.

He moved from classroom study to legal practice after law school. His path included the standard legal curriculum and the kinds of training common to new attorneys: legal research, writing, and courtroom procedure. Those elements prepared him for work as a practicing lawyer. Over time he has relied on both sets of education to approach problems that require attention to detail and careful analysis.

Randolph is a member of the Mississippi State Bar. That membership is current. He practices under the rules and qualifications required by that professional body. His standing with the state bar allows him to represent clients in Mississippi courts and to offer legal counsel to individuals and entities within the state. He maintains professional ties within the state legal community and participates in the activities available to licensed attorneys.

Colleagues and clients who work with him see an attorney whose background spans technical and legal disciplines. The undergraduate training in construction engineering technology informs how he reads plans, understands technical reports, and evaluates the role of specifications in projects. His law degree supplies the legal framework for putting those technical observations into practical legal arguments. He draws on both when preparing documents, advising clients, or appearing in court.

He continues to practice law in Mississippi. He is active in the profession as a member of the Mississippi State Bar and applies his combined technical and legal education to the matters he handles. He currently practices law in Mississippi.
