About Christopher

Christopher Dunnells built his legal path steadily, moving from courtroom study to private practice and then into a regional firm. He studied broadly before he studied law, earning a B.A. from Mississippi University for Women (2011). He then took a law degree at Mississippi College School of Law, receiving a J.D. in 2014, and completed an MBA at Mississippi College in 2015. Those academic years framed his early professional choices.

After law school he began practicing in Mississippi. In 2015 he worked at Dunnells Law, PLLC, where he handled matters typical of small firm practice and gained courtroom and client experience. Three years later he joined DunbarMonroe, PLLC as an associate in 2018. That move placed him inside a broader litigation environment and expanded the range of matters he sees day to day.

He is licensed to practice in Mississippi and holds memberships in several professional groups. His affiliations include the Transportation Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute, and a local legal organization known as The Gavel. Those memberships reflect the professional circles he moves in and the subjects that recur in his work.

Colleagues describe his day-to-day work as litigation-centered. He regularly handles defense matters and those tied to transportation incidents and regulatory questions. Cases often involve pretrial investigation, depositions and drafting dispositive motions. He appears in state courts and conducts discovery that supports defenses in civil suits.

Clients and co-counsel encounter a practitioner who blends courtroom routine with the administrative side of practice. He drafts motions, prepares witnesses and manages the procedural demands that come with contested matters. The combination of a J.D. and an MBA informs how he frames disputes and how he communicates risk and options to clients.

His move into a firm setting in 2018 expanded staffing resources and case variety. At DunbarMonroe he contributes to team-based litigation and handles individual case responsibilities. He remains active in professional organizations and in legal circles focused on defense and transportation law.

He currently works at DunbarMonroe, PLLC, where his practice centers on defense litigation and transportation-related civil matters in Mississippi.
