About J.P.
J.P. Gonzalez-Sirgo began his professional path in law after completing degrees at two Southern universities. He took his undergraduate studies in political science at Florida International University, earning a B.A. in 1990. He continued at Vanderbilt University Law School and received his J.D. in 1994.
The years at Vanderbilt shaped his early approach to legal work. Classrooms and clinics offered him practical experience and exposure to federal practice. Those experiences fed into the decision he made soon after graduation: to open his own practice rather than join an established shop.
In 1994 he founded J.P. Gonzalez-Sirgo, P.A. He has remained the firm’s founding lawyer since then. Over the decades the office has handled matters in both state and federal forums. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. Courts of Appeal for the Eleventh Circuit and the Federal Circuit, which gives him standing to appear in a range of appellate and trial matters.
Gonzalez-Sirgo has earned membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Those memberships reflect instances in which clients obtained awards or settlements of significant size. He maintains professional ties through other associations as well.
