About Ismail
Ismail Mohammed built a practical legal foundation through a mix of formal study and courtroom work. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1994, after beginning that course of study in 1990. He later attended Massachusetts School of Law and received his Juris Doctor in 2000, having started the program in 1997. Those years shaped the knowledge he would carry into practice.
After law school he moved into private practice and public-appointed work. In 2004 he established the Law Office of Ismail Mohammed and began handling matters as the firm's owner and lawyer. A year later he accepted appointments as an Indigent Bar Advocate for the Committee for Public Counsel Services, where he worked on court-assigned cases. That blend of private and appointed work has given him experience on both sides of the attorney-client divide.
Mohammed is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and has held membership in the Massachusetts State Bar since 2004. His name appears among a list compiled by the National Trial Lawyers identifying Top 100 Lawyers in Massachusetts. He has handled cases within the state system and has carried the responsibilities that come with representing clients in appointed matters as well as those who seek private counsel.
Colleagues and clients encounter a practitioner who has navigated courtroom procedures and client advocacy over the course of two decades. His professional path includes managing the operations of a small firm while meeting the obligations of court-appointed work. That combination has shaped how he allocates time between casework, client meetings, and court appearances.
Mohammed maintains an office at 185 Devonshire Street, where he sees clients and manages his practice. He continues to practice law in Massachusetts courts and provides representation in both appointed and privately retained matters.
