About Isabel

Isabel Yague built a legal foundation on both sides of the Atlantic. She studied law and political science at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2005. She later took her studies to Miami, completing a J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law in 2009. Those two law school experiences—one in Spain and one in the United States—shaped how she approaches cross-border legal questions.

After law school, Yague established her practice in Florida. She is admitted to practice in that jurisdiction. Her training in Madrid gave her familiarity with civil law traditions. Her time in Miami exposed her to U.S. common law and the practical demands of business law in a global city. The combination has led her to work on matters that touch both legal systems and to advise clients who operate between the United States and Spain.

Colleagues describe her as methodical and precise in handling transactional work. She has taken on corporate matters, contract negotiations, and compliance issues that require attention to detail and an ability to explain complex legal points to nonlawyers. Her bilingual background helps when documents and negotiations cross linguistic as well as legal borders.

Yague participates in professional networks that reflect her practice interests. She is a current member of the Spain U.S. Chamber of Commerce, which connects business leaders and lawyers who work on transatlantic commerce. That involvement keeps her current on trade developments and industry concerns affecting companies with operations in both countries.

Her work style leans toward practical problem solving. She breaks issues into manageable parts, identifies immediate risks, and outlines steps clients can take to reduce uncertainty. The nature of cross-border matters often means coordinating with counsel in other jurisdictions. Yague has shown an ability to work in teams that include outside counsel, business advisers, and regulatory specialists when a case or transaction requires it.

Outside the office she has continued to follow developments in comparative law and international business regulation. She draws on that ongoing study when advising clients who must balance obligations in more than one country. She currently practices law in Florida, concentrating on international business and commercial matters involving the United States and Spain.
